AMAZON TRIBE

 The Sentinelese are an indigenous tribe living on North Sentinel Island in the Andaman Islands, in the Indian Ocean.  They are known for their strict isolation and their reluctance to interact with the outside world.  Most information about the tribe comes from remote observations and brief contacts over the years, although their contact with the outside world is very limited.

 In 2006, the Sentinelese tribe received international attention when an Indian fisherman suddenly landed on North Sentinel Island after his boat ran aground.  Unfortunately, the fisherman was killed by members of the Sentinelese tribe.  These actions underscore the tribe's reluctance to interact with foreigners and protect their isolation.

 The Sentinelese lived as hunter-gatherers, and little is known about their language, culture, or religion.  They live in simple houses made of coconut leaves and wood.  They rely on the natural resources on their island, such as fish, crabs and wild plants.

 The Indian government has established a restricted zone around North Sentinel Island to protect the tribe and prevent contact with the outside world.  This is done to preserve their culture and to protect them from potential diseases that could harm them, as their immune systems may not have defenses against diseases that are common in the outside world.

 Much of the story of the Sentinelese is unknown, and they remain an unsolved mystery in the world of anthropology.  Their strict isolation and highly defensive attitude towards strangers makes it difficult to understand more about their life and culture.  The Indian government is committed to safeguarding the protection and sustainability of this tribe while respecting their wishes to continue living in isolation.
